How to increase twitter tweet limit to 280-character

Different methods have been mentioned in this article, depending on the browser you use.

If you use Google Chrome browser, follow these steps:

  1. On your Chrome browser, go to www.tweetdeck.twitter.com and log in using your twitter account.
  2. Click on the Chrome menu icon (3-vertical dot) at the top-right corner and go to More tool > Developer tools.
  3. Now click on the Sources tab.
  4. Click the >> symbol next to Content scripts and then select Snippets.
  5. Click New snippet and copy the below code on the right side.

6. After pasting the above code, click the play icon.

Now, click the new tweet icon on Tweetdeck and cheers! You’ll be able to tweet in 280 characters.

Increase Twitter tweet limit on Firefox

  1. On your Firefox browser, go to www.tweetdeck.twitter.com and log in to your twitter account.
  2. Click the Firefox menu icon located at the top-right corner and go to Web developer > Web console.
  3. The console will be shown at the bottom half of the browser screen. At the bottom of the page, you will find the >> arrow.
  4. Paste the above code in the white space next to >> arrow.
  5. That’s it. Now, you can tweet in 280-character on TweetDeck.

Increase tweet limit to 280 characters on Safari

  1. First, enable the Develop mode in Safari. To do that, Click Safari on the menu bar and click Preferences.
  2. Go to Advanced tab and enable Show Develop menu in menu bar. This will enable the Develop menu.
  3. Now go to www.tweetdeck.twitter.com and sign in to your twitter account.
  4. Go to the menu bar located at the top and click Develop > Show Javascript Console.
  5. Copy/Paste the same code mentioned above for Chrome and Firefox.
  6. Now, start tweetings with the 280-character limit.
